Bingo !!
I have been having lot of problems with my 4Mb/s Broadband.
Getting very slow speeds in Evenings (300-600Kb/s)
Yesterday was last straw when 4th Engineer appointment phoned before visit to say he could not do anything as there is Congestion in my area in evenings & network needs upgrading.
Too many people using broadband at peak times.
Today I phoned NTL (now Virgin Media) to renegotiate my package.
Currently paying £40.75/month (with £9.50 discount off £50.25) for:
4Mb Broadband, Base TV Pack
(inc Telephone Line + Talk Weekends, Call Reminder, Fully Itemised Billing)
Wanted to get price down to £30 or less for:
2Mb Broadband, Free TV Pack
(inc Telephone Line + Talk Weekends, Call Reminder, Fully Itemised Billing)
Will now pay £26.75/month (with £16.50 discount off £43.25) for:
2Mb Broadband, Base TV Pack
(inc Telephone Line + Talk Weekends, Call Reminder, Fully Itemised Billing)
This deal is even cheaper than if I had Free TV Pack
(would have been £31.75/month with Free TV Pack & no discount)
Downgraded to 2Mb service as no point in paying premium for 4Mb service when they cannot provide in evenings.
Rest of my package stays same, but now paying £26.75/month with permanent discount.
Will now pay £14/month less than before & not bothered that I will be on slower 2Mb/s speed.
How does that sound ??
