Yes, Talk Unlimited is a retention option that they will give for free or with big discount.

Yes they offered me Talk unlimited (ie 24 hours landline calls) for 70p. See my post on previous page. It's not much use for me as I've got big credit on my mobile but still was a good offer.0 -
I joined last August and my 2MB broadband has always been £9.99, and I'm getting the £9.99 offer for twelve months. I don't think it can go any lower...
Even if I wanted the price to go any lower, it would not be in my best interest because I'm sharing my broadband connection with my neighbour. Dear neighbour bought a wireless router. They use the connection during daytime when I'm at work, whereas I tend to use the internet in the evenings after I get home.
So, I'm only paying £5 for my internet connection.0 -

They have to compete with Talk Talk, Tiscali, Sky who are doing deals with this.
They should give big discount on SkyMovies & V+ box and you should get free upgrade to Talk Unlimited.
Check what other people have got in this thread re:Sky Movies & V+ box.
Look at this post, see the savings people get when they have more services:

What's the best way to go about doing this, as they will already have it on record that I phoned up and got a discount. Do I just phone up and ask what's the best deal they can do for me with V+ and SkyMovies added?

I'm not sure how it's working with all the upheaval in Virgin/NTL nowadays.
I would leave it for 4-6 weeks to change your package (add Sky Movies, V+ box) & get another deal on these & anything else (free upgrades to Talk Unlimited & maybe Talk Mobile, Talk International if any use).
Unless you want to give it a go now & just say "you've thought about things & want add new services, what can they do".
They will bend over backwards if you are adding new services.

Ps I just got my 2nd deal yesterday, my first deal was just over a month ago.0 -

Hope your neighbour isn't doing anything illegal0 -

Just thought i'd post this as im absolutely fuming and need to get this off my chest
Phoned Virgin Media (Ntl) up because i noticed my monthly payments were to go up to £18 from £9.99 later this month.
Now after waiting about 20 mins on hold, bear in mind i rang at around 4.40pm and finally getting through to some woman - wish i got her nametalked for a few mins, she then asked what the query was about and when i said it was regards my payments going up she said i'll go and see what offers are available.....then cuts me off!!!! she must have realised it was 5pm ( the time they shut) i'm fuming, disgraceful service that is.
Sorry for the rant, just needed to get that out.0 -

PROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBT0 -
"4 MEG broadband,
Weekend phone package
TV package with all the channels except sky sports/Movies
All in for £13.25 per month - PERMANANTLY!"
How on earth is that possible?
I think they forgot to tell you about the £25 internet on top?
Got through today in 10 mins, -
was paying £57
XL tv
L BB
basic phone.
Got it at £38. Which seems to be a price a lot of others have got. Really happy with this.
There must be some kind of structure they go off, some set retention packages? It seems a lot of people have been given some random (good) prices that no one else has?0
