Does this company have online lurkers/salesmen who post good reviews to boost its image in the various message boards!

Another factor for its continued success is the emergence of new suckers who are enticed by its seemingly attractive deals and then fall into the trap.

And journos seem not to be interested,is it because of Onestops/CPWs clout?

    Hai,

After 4 months of numerous phone calls, e mail messages, threats, and actual referral to trading standards authority, reporting to bbc watchdog - i got the cheque(first one) for my cash back.

Some may feel that i should be happy - but i think - this unusually abnormal and disgusting for the customer to chase this outfit with loss of money, time and mood to get paltry money they offer.

I agree with Rjohnmatt's observation - this company is having separate person to post positive images of cashback to boost the image and suck new people. I wish i had seen the posts of Rjohnmatt before buying phone from this outfit.

I hope bbc watchdog receives enough complaints from people to expose this company on national television.

Hopefully this post will/has made a difference for people who haven't previously read warnings about OSPS. I for one certainly hadn't when I started my contract as many others who posted on this thread had not also. Would I have taken out the contract if I knew then what I know now? That's difficult to answer, as in the end I have received the 2 cashback's I sent off so far, but to be honest.... I probably wouldn't take out another contract with them as it is more risky compared to other companies offering 'cashback'.

This is a very contentious issue, and is why so many people have posted their coments here, as the post suggests, it is a discussion on OSPS Cashback, The nature of it will hopefully keep people posting and therefor warn/advise other new users about the business tactics of this company so they can make an informed decision.

With regard to 'lurkers' 'trolls', who know! But I guess that some people will obviously have had a good experience with this company.... there's an old saying that I will translate for the purpose of OSPS...

'You can p**s off some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, but you can't p**s off ALL of the people All of the time'!!!
    Sexkitten

Good things come to those who wait......... but the best will be taken by those who got there first ;)

  • been with osps for 2 years three cashback deals and never had a problem im just about to take out another offer with them, perhaps anyone with good reports should post them here,it seems mainly bad ones only get posted :T :T

OSPS counts the day when you ordered the phone, Starting from that day when four months completed you claim period starts and you need to send latest bill at that time, say you are connected on 12 Feb, your claim date starts from 12 June to 12 Jul. You can send any latest bill available on 12 June, what ever the bill number is either its 3rd/4th or 5th it doesn't matter.
this happened to me...I sent my 8th monthly bill in only to be told I was too late, and should have sent in my 7th, smacks of a con to me. I was previouslly told send the 4th, 8th and 12th bills in within 30 days of recieving them.

    hai bellamy,

That is exactly what i am cautioning people about. When i have sent the correct bill(first 2 pages as per the instructions).

An HONEST company wont give misleading information on 10 occasions within a space of 3days. -some of the answers i got are

1.customer service1.- you should have sent 3rd mth bill.
    2. CS 2 - you have to send 5th month bill - so wait for one more month.
    3. CS 3 - Oh! you have sent correct bill - why did they not honour your cash back? Who are they? ARe you not part of CS.
    4. CS 4 - he asks me some silly questions for 5 minutes and then says - you do not have contract with us - my system says -- you have returned the phone back to us.
5.CS 5 - you probably need to send the whole bill rather than first 2 pages - so please send the whole bill - we will honour your cashback.

Everyone who are unfortunate to be with this company knows - how much time and money one has to spend to get these answers.of course i found out the geographical number with the help of this board. What about my time? They are open between 9am to 5-30 pm only.

Only threats of going to small claim court(again courtesy of this board) made them to honour my cashback.

Hello Highway star : no one is talking so bad about other companies except this one.
Do u know they even loose recorded delivery post and they ask you to send the certificate of proof of delivery from the post office. If they do good service to 10 and frustrate the other 10 - do you call that good service. Even in developing countries - the standard of CS is better than OSPS. pLEASE REMEMBER THAT THERE ARE AT LEAST 3 PEOPLE TRYING TO GET OSPS INTO bbc watchdog programme. 3 people are the leaders who are collecting the information from dissatisfied customers.

Agree entirely with rary regarding the inordinately high number of complaints against this outfit.

There are atleast 9 other mobile phone companies, why dont you hear of as many complaints against the others.

I still stand by my comment that Onestop probably has planted stooges in message boards to support it.

Anyone with less than 50 posts supporting these bunch of rogues in my eyes is definitely a company stooge!

I agree that a fair few people seem to have problems with OSPS but my experience with them has been pretty good to be honest. All cashback claims paid very quickly.

Only thing I didn't get was my £10 voucher.
  • I have had mixed problems with OSPS

By mistake I sent them all 3 vouchers in my first claim. The good news was that they sent me replacement gift redemtion certificates - I was impressed as I know they didn't have to.

    That was the good news.

The bad news was that 2 out of the 3 claims I have made have been hard work. Numerous phone calls. I am expecting my 3rd and last cheque in the next few days (They've told me that my cheque is being processed)

Although I had good CS to start with I would recommend that you steer clear from this company.

I would rather have my teeth extracted then have to deal with this lot again.

I DO NOT WORK FOR THEM - I would highly recommend Mobileshop.com

Maybe I have been lucky so far but I have been quite happy with the service I have recieved from OSPS.

With my first and second cashback claims I was paid within a couple of weeks of sending themoff however with my third and final one I called the week after I sent it and they said they hadn't received it even though Royal Mail's website said the Special Delivery had been delivered. After reading some of the posts on here my heart sank and I had visions of all the same problems and hassle as a lot of people here but they told me to send a fax with all the details on it, which I did and called the next day to make sure they had received this. They said they had and had passed it to the relevant department and I should expect my cheque within 21 days. I recieved my cheque last week after about fourteen days.

I took out another Contract in November and have recieved my automatic cashback without any problems and am about to send off my first claim for this one so I'll keep my fingers crossed that the service I have received so far continues.
