  • Just received my final cashback from OSPS. To date, I have taken 2 contracts from them with 100% cashback success. It is a bit stressful but then that's what you put yourself into with these 12 months free deals.

Will take a break from this cashback business for the next 12 months as I have been offered an auto-cashback deal from 3 (nokia 6280). Works out better than e2save and OSPS offers, so can't be that bad!

How long does it usually take for the cashback claims to be updated on the osps systems,i posted mine on 09/1/06 special delivery it was delivered on the morning of 10/1/06,i have just phoned osps at 4.45pm friday 13th,and they have not got it on record yet,any advice please.
OSPS still not received my claim,so i spoke to their customer service team leader grahame colclough who asked me to fax bill to him, which i did at a extra cost of £2 to myself,i called him a few hours later and he said he had not received the faxes,he asked me to email him a copy of my online bill which i did and he actually received this,he said that cashback dept was not behind and i will receive in a few days, still not received so i called consumer advice who have noted all this and told me to write to them with a copy of my special delivery receipt+signed copy of signature that i requested from royal mail+fax sending confirmation+email copy,i also stated that if i do not receive my cheque within 7-10 working days that i will take this matter to court, this company is the pits,i also had to threaten legal action to get my auto cashback,(this claim is my 1st redemption claim)i also reported them to 3,but they did not seem intrested.DO NOT USE THIS PATHETIC CONNING OUTFIT!!!

    Surprise,Surprise.

Got all my £300 cashback and sold the phone for £60. Profit of about £90.

However I wouldn't recommend or use OSPS again!

Good luck to all of you still waiting!

3rd cheque successfully received. On this claim, I followed the t&c to the letter, posted bill with voucher by special delivery just before Christmas, phoned when they had signed for it - apparently not on the system yet. Phoned again a week later - not showing on system, had to fax through again as they seemed not to have received it 2 weeks later, phoned to check it had been processed again at the end of last month, cheque on way, phoned again last week, cheque sent days ago, cheque finally arrived today (dated 3/1 - over a week before they said they hadn't received it?!).

It is possible this would have come through without me phoning their cashback team, but then I wanted to leave nothing to chance for the sake of a few phone calls and was reassured each time I phoned them (only to still be waiting for my cheque weeks later!). I know they say it takes 21/28 days to process and this would be just slightly over that time (but being generous and allowing for Christmas delays, that is acceptable).

If you need to check the progress of your cashback, the direct landline number is 01270 504400 then option 2,5,* (don't need to wait for them to rattle on!).

This was my second cashback deal - I had one running with CPW simultaneously and both have been processed correctly in the past month with 100% cashback success on both, therefore I would be happy to use both again (just check and double check all the small print in t&cs then stick to the process). I have recently signed up for Mobileshop.com as they had a better deal on this time (and seemed to get better feedback).

    Good luck

  • Thanks Anon and co to your replies to my other post(OSPS should I send it back).

Well, after todays farce and after reading this post I am sooo glad that I have now returned my phone and avoided all of the hassle.

For anyone who is tempted by OSPS dont bother..that is of course i've had the YTS (young thick and stupid) in at Orange and the OSPS over the past couple of days.

    regards

Make sure you contact the network provider to cancel as OSPS probably won't. Otherwise you will still receive bills.

  • Amazingly....just got my 2nd cashback £80 on last May's K750i Vodafone deal.
Received within 7 days without a murmur, not like the 7 weeks and multiple threats i had to use last time.
    Well done this time OSPS.
  • This does happen sometimes - as I have said previously - it is something of a lottery with OSPS.

I have had few problems till the latest one, when my "automatic" cashback due in November is still awaited.

After lots of hastening and a letter to them entitled "7 DAYS BEFORE LEGAL ACTION" I received my cheque within a few days.

My other half sent them a recorded guaranteed letter on 19 December. Their terms say 21 days. Therefore no messing this time. She wrote a letter to CPW legal department in London, entitled "7 days before legal action" as 45 days had now passed. The next day OSPS head of customer services called asking how they could help with the Cashback and a registered letter from CPW the same day stating that they had passed the matter to OSPS to deal with urgently.

They can do it if you get to the right department with the right attitude.

I feel they just try to fob some people off and hope they will give up!
I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!

Good things come to those who wait......... but the best will be taken by those who got there first ;)
