im on my 3rd phone from OSPS and ive never had any cashback problems, just recieved my ipod nano which was offered with my latest phone.
cash back usually takes about 3 weeks but on at least 2 occasions ive had it back within a week.

I think I spoke too soon yesterday, I received my cashback cheque today. Well done OSPS!

I've since downgraded to a £20 tarriff plus £3 for 50 texts. I've heard of people having problems when claiming cashback when they've done this. Is this true?

Will vodaphone allow me to upgrade again? They told me they will only allow 1 change every 6 months!

Submitted a claim for the second of three payments on two phones on the 5th March. Cheques for both arrived today, with no need to chase them up. Perhaps they have resolved their previous issues.

I've just been reading todays postings re. cashback horror stories with E2save, OSPS & The Mob.

It seems as though the single cashback claim, at month 6 from my current provider, Microline, looks by far the best available. I have received cashback in full, for two phones, via recorded delivery, with NO hassle at all.

They also have a normal landline number (as well as an 0870) and a high street store. The end of my 12 months contract is a month away and there are better offers around than the one I have received from Microline. However, it seems that maybe I'm being rather foolish in considering any other provider in order to save an extra £2/month.

I too am currently enduring OSPS's obstacle course in relation to a Cashback claim. The whole point with these deals is that one must be absolutely to the letter of the T & C s. Even if you are, OSPS still try it on it seems. I don't want to play contract lottery. It's cynical to say the least. I wouldn't touch them again with an ocean-going bargepole, and this behaviour doesn't exactly recommend their bedfellows E2Save & CPW.

They declined my 8 month cashback on grounds of tariff downgrade even though they did not send me any T&C leaflet stting this, there was nothing on the website and I even phoned CS to confirm it was ok first. I spoke to CS by phone who asked for email confirming this which I sent and was then told it had been forwarded to supervisor - and now nothing. for a month so it looks like recorded letter threatening small claims - sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings
    I think....

    Hai,
It seems some of the posters have received their cash back promptly. Either they have changed because of customer pressure(i doubt it) or they are trying to save money by being awkward with few people. Many customers wont have the time to pursue the claim. Typical example is my situation.

1.My wife and i got phones from osps. contract dates are same. t&cs are same. I have filled the forms for both phones and sent by registered post(both).

They are playing with my cashback - reasons given 1. proper pages are not attached, we need full invoice rather than first 2 pages(in t&c)it clearly states that first 2 pages are only needed. Contacted customer services - got 3 different answers from 3 different cs.
10-15 emails.( i never got annwer to my previous e mails, but after sending the complaint to bbc watchdog - now i am getting answers to my e mail).
All e mail answers are rubbish and lies(i have printed them all) still no cash back.

For my wife's phone - same paperwork sent -no questions asked - cashback came in 1 week.

ARe they trying their best to avoid some people so that they can save money? HOrrible business tactic by some one like Charles Dunstone(owner of osps and cwp).

I am pursuing my claim for purposes of principle because i am wasting more of my valuable time with this, but i do not want to give away to their dirty tactics.

Let me know how you get on, I don't have to claim again for about 3 months, I may phone Vodaphone and see if I can upgrade my account to the £30 tarriff for the last month just to get the cash back. I don't see why they should complain at me upgrading it, thus giving them more money!

I am surprised all of you are wasting so much time on this. I just wonder whethe you've considered taking them to a small claims court? It'd seem as if the facts are squarely stacked against them. You are owed money and that's what SCC are for. Also getting a few dozens of claims would help them focus on things.
