Whats the worst thing about Credit Cards
Am curious to know what the worst thing about credit cards is to different people? My guess is its the long time it seems to take back and the confusion around repayment amounts/rates. Any other thoughts?

Overseas Spending
Sorry if I've got this on the wrong thread or something. I'm new to forums! Looking at credit cards which give free cash withdrawals abroad (eg Halifax Clarity). Appreciate the "free" is a bit of a stretch but as per MSE if you take cash out abroad then pay it back the same day using on-line banking, the interest barely…

How do I change the payment options on my Amazon Account
I have three different credit/debits cards on record for my Amazon account. I use the Barclaycard credit card as the default card. Recently I got a new Barclaycard which I wish to make the default card, to replace the existing card. So I added it to my Amazon account. I then made it the card to be used for one click…

Is this 0% interest? First time applying for credit card
I'm applying for a credit card for the very first time and am a bit nervous about getting it wrong! I want to use it to pay for a holiday, and want to pay back with 0% interest. So I've applied online to Tesco and it looks as though I've been accepted. Trawling through the t&c's...and I'm obviously misunderstanding as some…

Beware Lloyds Bank and S75
I hired a barrister online under the Direct Access scheme to represent me in a civil dispute over double glazing. I had 14 day cancellation rights and, when I paid, I saw from the online terms that I was entitled to a pro rata refund. Three days before the trial, as it was obvious that the barrister still hadn't read the…

Credit card standing order
Hi, My wife and I recently got a joint Sainsbury's 0% Credit card (she is the main named card holder), booked a holiday and I set up a token gesture standing order to help pay off the balance. When we returned from the holiday we decided to change the standing order to come out of our joint account. This I thought I had…

Is it worth the hassle?
Is it worth the hassle? I might be wrong but say you borrow 10k from cards, as the interest rates are so low you might make 2% or so. So for all the work you may only make £200 which is just over a days work? I don't get it.

Visa Gift Cards (https://www.gospendit.co.uk/)
OK, I acknowledge that this query is only loosely related to Stoozing, but I suspect this is the forum where I'm most likely to find the target audience, so here I am :-) Before I waste £53.95 on an overpriced car windscreen ice scraper, can anyone confirm whether these Visa Gift Cards can be used to deposit £50 into an…

New Balance Transfer Card accepted but low Credit Limit
Hi, I applied for a new credit card with 0% interest on Balance Transfers. It was successful but they only gave me a 2.5k credit limit when i needed to transfer 15k. They are going to send me the paper work out to sign. If I cancel it now will it look bad on my credit file? Should I use it just for the 2.5k? Thanks

Help with credit cards please
Not entirely sure this is the right place, apologies if it isn't. A change of circumstances (marriage breakdown) has led to a drop in household income and the need to reassess my very poor credit management. I have three cards on which I am currently making minimum repayments only. MBNA. Balance 15809.47. Limit 19600.00.…

Business Finance
Good evening all. I am hoping to buy an existing business but have come up against resistance from the main big banks when I have enquired for a business loan. I have also tried peer to peer lenders, but they only seem keen to load to existing companies wishing to expand and invest. The asking price of the business is 75K…

To begin the Stooze
I've decided I'm going to jump on this bandwagon. I've got a lot of 3% acc's, and can open some regular savers as well. At present the only card I found on the site offering free BT was Halifax. I would think with my credit score I'll be accepted at most places, (although I did just have a SO bounce, in the opening of 4…

First balance transfer advice required please
My situation: I have a TSB Platinum, still well within the initial 20 month interest-free on spending period (12 months to go), which is around it's £4.5k limit. I'm getting £5 per month cashback for spending £500, paying down the balance by a corresponding amount. I've received a mailer through my door from Barclaycard,…
