Quickest way of building up a balance?
I have recently got into stoozing (jumping on the bandwagon late). What's the quickest way of building up a balance? I'm putting all my normal day-to-day expenditure on there. Are there any quick routes to an effective cash advance, without paying a cash advance fee?

Feedback wanted on my stoozing plan ...
I wanted to outline my plans for stoozing below for feedback in case I've missed something (I've tried to put as much detail as I can think of so apologies for the wall of text!) Background Info I've recently re-mortgaged , and already have a couple of cashback credit cards for day-to-day spending so I'm not overly…

Stoozing and share save
I've currently got a sharesave type scheme on the go through work (£150 a month), due to mature next year. After we moved house, I decided to effectively 'draw-down' on this in advance, by taking out the Virgin money transfer credit card offer (worked out to be about £80 to borrow £6000 over a near-three year period). The…

Creation Credit Card
After having bad experiences using credit cards abroad I looked at this web site for help and decided to give a Creation credit card a go. It has been fantastic I have now used it in America and Vietnam with no problems what so ever. Sending them emails to say I will be away is really easy as is paying the balance. If you…

Evening, Could any recommend a card which has a good 0% offer but is also cheap to use abroad. I already have a Halifax clarity card but don't want to use that card abroad as it is cleared monthly whereas this new card is going to have a balance on which i can chip away at over the period of the 0%. Thanks in advance

Mis selling of credit cards
After the PPI mis advice payouts, is there going to be a claim for being bullied into the use of credit cards and the way banks base credit ratings on the use of credit cards?. I never have wanted one but had to with the pressure from constant letter saying how easy it was to sign up and being one of thousands who have…

Credit Card for student
Hiya - I'm wanting to get a credit card to build my credit rating. Although it's showing as 950 on Experian, my report also says I have a very weak chance of getting accepted for a card - with a 25% hit rate. I've never had a credit card before, so don't know where to start. I have 1 line of credit at the moment, which is…

Section 75 and Car Rental
Rented a car from a rental company in Mallorca. The car I got was not that booked but a so called similar car. The car was not road worthy in so far as there was a knocking sound whilst driving and the tyres were worn below the tread at the front. The queue to complain at the airport was huge and the helpers in the…

Credit card interchange fees
In 2015 the EU introduced a new law capping credit card transaction charges at 0.3%. I booked a cruise with P&O and they charged me 1.5%. I told them it was illegal but they said their website clearly stated the charges and it shouldn't be a surprise to me. After a few wasted phone calls to their customer services team,…

Small purchases with BT card
Hi all, Is it a good idea to make a less than the minimum payment purchase with a BT card every month? So if I pay the minimum payment, it will pay off rather the purchase and the balance will remain nearly intact. Am I right that I still don't pay interest with this method?

What happens if you go over the transfer limit (but not the credit limit)?
I made a BT to a Halifax card today and by transferring the 'amount available to transfer', I have managed to go past the 90/95% (would need to check my spreadsheet) allowed for transfers. 1) Is this a major issue? I.e. can they demand repayment 2) Are the figures that show the amount available to transfer unreliable? This…

Repeat Money Transfers
I've just opened 2 MT cards with Virgin and MBNA. I've also completed 2 BT's to a tesco card and requested another £5500 MT from the tesco card. I'm just wondering if there are limits to how many times you can use money transfers from a card. For example, the tesco card talks about transfers within the first 90 days. If i…

Multiple credit cards, stooze pots and credit limits
Hi All, I just thought I would share my recent bout of applying for multiple credit cards in one weekend for stoozing/offset mortgage. I will share my cards, limits and situation so others can see what they could look to possibly obtain if they have similar circumstances and for reference. Please also share your cards,…

Prepared to pay interest
If the stock markets crashed say 40%, I'd be tempted to use my stooze pot to buy equities, even if that meant interest on a card. The main risk is that the recovery will be slow, so it really depends on what the card rate is as to how much time you have I think considering that it shouldn't be prohibitive to stooze…

Credit limit on 0% Balance Transfers
I have finally got around to going through the process of transferring my debt to a 0% balance transfer card. I used the MSE 'check eligibility' and chose the best deal for me, which was the MBNA 0% for 37 months with a 1.45% fee. I had been 100% pre approved using the MSE eligibility checker, great.... I thought...…
