Best current interest rate for a charity account
Hallo All. Please could someone suggest where the charity I am involved in can get the highest rate of interest. We want to save some for later projects, while keeping some that we can use straightaway. At present we have a charity account with Leeds offering 2% with no notice of withdrawal needed.

2 year investment journey so far, trying not to feel disheartened.
I've been investing for 2 years now, I started off with £500 just to test the waters and then a lump sum and then pound cost averaged in each month, then did another lump sum recently during the tariff crash so the chart looks a bit distorted but here's my progress so far. I was up like 26% or so at one point before the…

Funding the 7% first direct regular saver? P.S. Changing the standing order date will lose you cash
Having opened a fd current account I’m now eligible to open their RS. They stipulate paid by monthly standing order from the fd current account on the monthly anniversary of account opening. I’d prefer to manually fund from another bank straight to the RS. The fact you can fund less than £300 but carry any less funding…

Best 1 year fixed rate savings accounts available? Including “loyalty” rates for existing customers?
I’m looking to open a 1 year fixed rate savings account before the rates drop any further. Currently looking at Cynergy’s 4.56% 1 year bond. But is there anything better out there? I’m an existing customer at lots of banks and building societies so maybe there are some loyalty rates that I’m not aware of? Basically, can I…

Bad experiences with Cynergy bank app
This is just a heads-up to anyone considering opening a Cynergy bank account (currently featured in the top Savings Accounts listings), to say you might want to check other users' experiences before doing so. Free dividend from RBS as a taxpayer
I’ve seen on social media that any taxpayer can go into any branch of RBS or NatWest and claim their share of the UK dividend. Apparently about £8,000. I can’t help feeling that this is one of those “if it seems too good to be true it probably is” stories. I thought the RBS shares were held by the Treasury. Anyone heard…
