Marlowe plc Ordinary Shares

I have just been checking my share dealings and have come across an anomaly.
In July 2024 I bought Marlowe plc and sold them in November, with a £1,000+ loss

When I look on Google the price of Marlowe plc was less than 250, I then sold in Nov when Google showed the share price at 350
When I sold my Hargreaves Lansdown account would have shown a profit, what has happened here?

Do you need to guess? What do the trade contracts say? There was a day at the end of September where it appears to have dropped to 220p and then bounced back but otherwise from the chart below it looks correct that you would have made a loss, with the price c.420p in July and c.330p November:

It looks like there was a demerger in September that explains the sudden drop:

"Marlowe PLC has not had any reported stock splits. While there was a significant event in September 2024 related to a spin-off of Optima Health, it was not a traditional stock split. Instead, Marlowe paid a "demerger dividend" of one Optima Health share for each Marlowe share held, effectively distributing a new company to existing shareholders, according to reports from Solactive and Morningstar [3, 5, 7]"

What was this dividend worth? Added back, would it have brought you back into profit?

The contracts say I bought at 437 and sold at 346, but the HL chart and Google both indicated a profit, which is why I sold.
Why would both give a misleading view?
Are there any SIPP providers that give the correct value?

Don't know, looks like there's some bad data. The chart on the LSE looks wrong as well: have the large 155p special dividend in June '24 and the demerger in Sept '24 confused something somewhere? E.g., treated as splits when they shouldn't have been. With stockbrokers there are always warnings about relying on third party data and you need to keep your own records.

The chart on Marlowe's website matches TradingView's (the source in my post above):

    This is HLs chart.
On the left hand side if you add back the 155p dividend it gets the chart back to roughly the correct price and then it was corrected after the demerger. I suspect a mistake was made with that.

On the plus side what are your shares in Optima Health worth?

I sold Optima Health in March for £2.3k+ so in profit overall.
