I want a VERY sturdy crate on wheels for my elderly mother to cart her laundry about in. Something like this http://www.lakeland.co.uk/funky-trundle/F/product/2156 But at £15, I wonder can I get better/tougher/sturdier. In case she leans on it, she may do this without realising, she may not, but just in case

When to apply for your free bus pass
Do you apply when you have reached, or past, your actual 60th birthday or before in anticipation of the birthday? My friend has been told not to apply before their birthday which seems wrong as they admit it takes a week or two to get the pass out:confused:

Power of attorney - necessary?
I've been looking into this with reference to my mum. Due to her increasingly frail health, her signature changes all the time and she now has bouts of confusion. I can see her having problems accessing her own money due to her signature problems. (She is unable to operate a cashpoint and has a passbook account instead).…
