In Sainsbury's on Thursday, I wanted to buy the three pack of peppers that cost £1.29. There were none on the shelves, only individual peppers for 68 pence each. So I asked an assistant if they had any packs in the back and when she said no, I asked f I could have three individual peppers for the price of the three-pack.…

I've melted clothes to my iron...
I'm about to make my bridesmaids outfits, but I'm not sure which interfacing to use. I want to use a lightweight fusible on acetate satin. The Vilene ones I've seen are for cotton and cotton blends (304) or stretch fabrics (319). Any idea what number I need?

Using it up - a change of plan
There have been a few threads/posts about using up the contents of freezers and cupboards in January to help cut costs after Christmas - I've posted/been doing this myself. But now I think a change of plan is in order. Going round the supermarket recently for stuff I've not got a surplus of, I noticed that there are a lot…

Help wanted to get my clothes smelling fresh
My baby suffers from reflux, so my clothes and hers are constantly getting covered in warm milky vomit !! The problem is that I just don't think that non-bio powder quite does the trick - even when things are newly washed I still think they have a lingering smell of damp, warm milky sick. Does anyone have any suggestions…

Letterboxes
Mine is flapping like mad in the wind and driving me nuts as I keep thinking there's someone at the door! Any ideas? It isn't springloaded. Would something heavy taped to the underside slow it down and if so what? It isn't magnetic, and I'm sure pound coins, although the right size, would go missing pronto!!
