Reusing Wine Bottles (screw top) - for what?
I'm just about to start home brewing (wine & cider) and I understand that I should use PLASTIC (fizzy drink) bottles to bottle it up...so having saved quite a few wine bottles that I shouldn't use for home wine making, can anyone suggest what to use them for? Fresh Chicken Fillets Vs Frozen
Hi, I try and use a whole chicken when I can, but also use chicken fillets for a few meals too. Does anyone use the frozen fillets and what are they like? I always freeze the fresh fillet anyway so wondered if there is a difference?! Thanks

non stick silicone cake mold....disaster!
I have bought one of those silicone giant cupcake tins and tried to make a cake today...well its completely stuck to the silicone and came out a damn mess! the instructions didnt mention greasing the silicone case, should I have done? problem with iron
got hr into my ironing and iron starts dripping from base plate and a couple of the lowest holes,then began almost a very slow pour !! Glazed turnips-in oven?
I want to have glazed turnips with our dinner Dinner is slow roast lamb, so the oven is on for 3.5 hours (at about 160) Can I put the washed turnips in an ovenproof dish, with some stock and butter and do them in there for an hour or so, or am I better off just doing them on the hob like I always do? Pasta sauce & soups (etc): what's best, canning or freezing?
What's best for storing pasta sauces, soups, and the like: home 'canning', or freezing? I'm thinking about both taste, and texture. Although home 'canned' sauces are faster to use, I'm assuming frozen ones can be melted fairly quickly in a saucepan?
