Hi 160
My four year old son has just started school, and I've decided to try and get the housework into a routine (god, it does sound boring, doesn't it?). I try and do a different room every day, and so far it's been working OK. Got more rooms than days in the week, though, so not every room gets done every week. I do have a general hoover round and tidy up every day, as well, just before I go and pick up William from school. It's messy again by bedtime, though!

Glad someone else is doing this because i am planning a schedule for my housework, then if i miss a room on its day i am not going to let myself think about it til its next day comes up. Got the idea from reading a book about victorian households and how they were run

i think doing a bit a day is a good idea...at the moment i end up doing it on my day off, and as i mainly work from home i'm sure it would be better to try and do just a few mins each day instead!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0

I have always intended to get into a routine but I'm afraid I still sticks with my very bad habit of only doing the bits that show
. Trouble is that I have always worked long hours so evrything only gets a flick around. I dread people coming to the house with small children because there is often the creaking so8nd of cobwebs as something I haven't moved for months gets pulled out ;D.

getting into a routine is a great idea, and it only takes 21 days for something to become habbit, so if you can stick it for that long it should be easy!!! lol
::)That mrs macchicken to you!0 -
21 days eh! I'll start tomorrow. So by the end of September I should be really good at this :P0
