Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Sunday 15th May. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the
Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning all
Bright & sunny here today, 1st load of washing on the line, 2nd load nearly ready to hang out, all the ironging fron yesterdays washing is done & hung up (this is nowhere near as virtuous as it sounds, there were only 3 items).
Shoulder of lamb for lunch today with new potatoes from the garden, yummy.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Morning HH and all those who are still in the land of nod :D

I've been awake since just after 6  - DD2 woke up, dressed herself and is in front of tv with an orange and a glass of water, dogs have all been out for the toilet and I've put the TD on. So I thought I'd grab a drink and head back up to bed with my laptop to get my OS fix :D .

DD1 (and a dog) are also on the bed - DD1 has been bed wetting again :( We had almost a year of dry beds and then one of the dogs was pts and she started again. They've got a trip away with school coming up and she's been stressing herself out that it's going to happen while she's away - the more she stresses, the more she wets and now we're back to every night :( We went to the doctors before, who referred us to the school nurse, so I've been trying to get back in touch with them but no joy yet - I've left answerphone messages and been to see school secretary who has tried to contact them too - hopefully they'll be in touch soon cos she's not a happy bunny about it.

B/F today will be fresh fruit salad with natural yoghurt, lunch roast chicken dinner and tea - salad.

I've got lots of washing that needs to be done, grass needs cutting and carpets need a good going over - not to mention the dusting :o I'll be flying again this week though

My business has really taken off :D:cool: so I often find myself answering e-mails and doing research at silly times of day just because I love it and it's something that I'm passionate about ... however ... I need a work/life balance and this is something that I'm really aware of because I often feel the need to collapse in a heap and do NOTHING for a whole day :( Today may well be one of those days ;) Sunday = day of rest

Hope everyone has a lovely chilled out day too and huge big HUGS to all those who want/need them.

Good morning HH and all to follow.

Beautiful bright sunny morning here at the moment. Hoping the washing can be hung out. Didn't wash yesterday as rain was forecast and there were big dark rain clouds overhead. However rain held off until late afternoon so I could have used the line.

Dinner today is roast pork with all the trimmings for 7 of us.

Happy Sunday folks. Hugs for those who need or want.
    Cheers m'dears, Silver x

Not been on here this week as my mum has been here from Edinburgh. She got to experience DS in full meltdown for 3 hours on Fri morning.....she said afterwards it worries her and my dad about how i will manage him when he is older:o. He was also up at 4am each day so she really got to see what my world is like:eek:
I was so tired last night I was in bed with a migraine at 8pm last night. I also have a blooming chest infection which is hanging around and making me feel crap:(
I am going to be off sick next week and then the week after I hand my notice in. Not sure what to do...I may have to force myself in to work for my 2 days to hand notice in, then go off sick again.
I just feel rude posting my notice in whilst off sick....has anyone else here done that? The thought of going in stresses me no end. I am also worried the GP will not give me enough time off to cover the 5 weeks.
Thank you everyone for you PMs etc about all this....you are all so supportive:A
Todays dinner is pork chops, potatoes, carrots and gravy......DS will let me know later what he wants as he will have tea at his swimming party later.
Went to behav psych on Weds and apparently they think DS has Pathological Demand Avoidance
    http://www.autism.org.uk/about-autism/related-conditions/pda-pathological-demand-avoidance-syndrome.aspx

and /or Oppositional Defiance disorder......as well as his autism and tourettes and sensory processinf disorder and dyspraxia:eek:
We spoke about the anger probs he has and we have to get him to understand that anger is normal but we have 3 rules.....No hurting yourself, no hurting others and no destroying things.;) Sounds simple but has been like a full time job this week just getting him to understand this and supervising his anger meltdowns....
right DS requesting sausage sarnies so off to sort that....will check in later
    xx

Morning all. Everyone's roasts are making me hungry just with the thought of it!

Hoping for a rest day today as I'm a bit 'spent' from the past few weeks, guess that's what Sunday's are for?
