hi all,
i haven't been on here for ages!! i am mainly on fb these days
anyway, was reading what npm was saying earlier and just wanted to say, that your children come first, they come before work and anything else. just go on sick and post notice in. I am a learning disability nurse and sw and have worked for years and years with children with ld. I used to work in a respite home and boy was that exhausting. I don't honestly knowm how tired u must be, i used to be wrecked after a 8 hour shift ;(
have u got a social worker??? if so ask about respite care for noah, even if you think you might not use it.. u need to look after your own well being and then u can look after noah's
The respite care staff that i worked with were all highly qualified and worked as a team to look after the ld kids.
another alternative, might be to ask sw for an assessment for noah for a direct payment. this can be used to pay someone to take him out regularly. like every weekend and nights after school.
sounds like u r doing the right thing finishing with work, it will give u more energy for noah x:D
xxxx

Evening All,
Nice to see you in here Dorry
NPM you know my opinions, hugs to youxxx
ESMF, hugs for you and your OH, I hope she's not in too much pain and she remains comfortable.
Loulou glad to hear things have been good this weekend.
So much to mention, but you should all know I am thinking about you as I go about my business.
Finally went to see my mother today. It was very uncomfortable for me, although she was pleased to see me and glad I had come. She looks terrible and I am more worried about her now. I think I thought she would look OK? I don't think, having seen her, that we can go back and fix things, but I am at peace with my decision now, and she knows I care how she is no matter what happens. We shall see how it goes from here. Thanks to all of you here who have been so sweet and supportive through this, you are some lovely friends.
Have a nice evening.
