Dental Implants
Maybe not a money saving option but I'm tired of wearing dentures, I want to be able to bite into my food without the fear of the denture slipping! No option for Gas supplier switch
Just off the ‘chat’ with SSE energy - was recommended to switch to them from Firmus to save me some money on my gas bill. I had clicked the Uswitch link and searched the SSE site for the ‘simple online link’ to start my switch. After searching everywhere, and not finding it I resorted to a chat. Tammy kindly informed me…

Hot Water: Immersion Heater v Oil ?
Some time back a chartered architect friend suggested it might be cheaper to heat the water from my immersion heater rather than use the oil to heat it. As we have some of the highest energy costs in the uk has anyone sat down and done the sums? How would you work it out?

Best place in Northern Ireland or the UK (online) to sell Jewelry/Gold
Hi all, I'm looking to get some valuations for some gold and jewelry I have and would like to sell. Any recommendations for a firm that has a good reputation for being fair? I'm a bit concerned about just trying this with companies I know nothing about. No doubt most will be fine but I'd feel more content if I knew they…

Hotpoint under counter freezer
Can anyone tell me what to do with my freezer? It's under counter with the required spaces around it. It gathers water on the outside top which drips down to the floor. I didn't know this till my wooden floor started swelling up! I know about the condensation slide button on it, this hasn't helped at all. Any ideas?? Thanks

Oil or Gas ... again
It appears that gas lines are being brought into our area in the near future. Our oil fired boiler is over 20 years old, but is running fine. The oil tank is looking a bit dozed and I believe we may have to replace that next year. So all-in-all it is possibly a good time to have to decide on whether to switch to gas. I…

UPVC or Composite Door
I want to replace an old timber back door due to it having had it's day - it's about 20 years old and despite changing seals and rain deflector at the bottom continues to leak water in heavy rain. It seems that composite doors are all significantly dearer than UPVC and I know the are classed as more secure and better…
