Anyone know of a good Pet Sitter?
I'm going on holiday for a week and have a pet rabbit. I've tried looking online but there doesn't seem to be many people or any companies doing pet sitting here, compared to England. I've found a bunny boarding place, but I'm unsure if maybe it'd be better to leave him at home and get someone to call in. However, I'm also…

Gas or Oil
I'm moving into a house in south belfast with a hot water tank that needs replaced and quite an old boiler (15+ years). As far as I know I qualify for a grant of £1000 towards cost of a new boiler which would cost around £1800 according to Power NI and a hot water cylinder would be about £500 all in. Would it be better for…

power NI bill query
power ni bill arrived in today, much higher than expected! I phoned "customer service" and after going through security checks the person told me how much my bill was and asked "what can I help with" I explained that instead of the 1364 units on the bill we had actually used 909. "How do you arrive at that?" was the…

Creation Credit Card
Just a bit of information for anyone thinking of applying for the "Creation" Credit Card to reduce travel costs. I currently use the Saga card for travelling, zero charges and interest on foreign purchases, but it adds 2% or a minimum £2 for cash withdrawals (no interest). I like to have plenty of cash whilst abroad, and…

Renting to the Council
Hi All, I'm in the process of renting out my house which is being done through an Estate Agent, who haven't made very much progress over the past two months. A friend of mine recommended renting the house through the council who do all the leg work and charge a small commission. Is this a viable option? I've never heard of…

Retailer saying warranty is with manufacturer after the initial 12 months
Bought electrical item from well known catalogue store with 2 yr advertised warranty. Problem after 15 months, retailer refuses to help and directs me to manufacturer as they only cover the first 12 months, it seems. Is this normal? I thought my contract was with the retailer and not the manufacturer.
