New LISA with a Help to buy LISA
Good evening, Apologies for being late to the game on this one. Hopefully someone might have some knowledge on this. I have a Help to Buy ISA which I would like to transfer to a LISA. The HTB ISA is with Nationwide who I believe wrap all of their cash ISAs into one. I don't know if the HTB element is separate to the rest.…

ISAs for beginners
Hi - I received an inheritance earlier this year. At the moment it is sitting in a fixed limited access savings account receiving 4.53%. I can make one further withdrawal with no penalty. Presumably it would make sense to transfer as much as I'm allowed into an ISA? The same bank is offering a fixed rate cash ISA for one…

So lost on ISA's and savings!
I'm rubbish when it comes to money and only recently opened an ISA :D So currently my ISA has 20k in it. I opened it November 2023 at a rate 4.9%. I am lucky enough to have another 20k sitting - do I get more ISA allowance on 6th April? Is interest added from my first ISA November - November? Or November - April? Any…

Opening multiple Cash Isas in one year for split transfer purposes only
Checked the government site and it offers very little information on this ISA subject. I want to transfer an existing cash ISA with 200k into three others with different providers to protect the money with the £85K guarantee. I believe I can only open one cash ISA that is funded in the same year but presume I can open…

Transfer of Monzo ISA - part-month interest
I recently (mid March) transferred out a Monzo cash ISA (Investec). Full transfer. All went smoothly except that I noticed that the interest added was only up to the end of February. Anyway today the extra interest for part of March has appeared in my Monzo account. I'm assuming that the interest is tax-free, since it was…

I have an existing LISA with Moneybox, I wish to contribute to this in the 24-25 tax year I would also like to contribute to a new fixed term ISA with Nationwide I believe this is allowed provided both together do not exceed the 20k limit Cashier Advice from Nationwide suggests this cannot be done Is this incorrect or…

Restrictive T&Cs on ISA
I have just applied for a fixed term ISA This is one of the terms: "I have not subscribed, and will not subscribe, to another cash ISA in the same tax year that
I subscribe to this cash ISA;" I have other fixed term cash ISAs which mature at different times. Does this term prevent me from shopping around and getting the…

Skipton Fixed Rate ISA
Given the talk around BoE rates coming down in the near future I am considering Skipton BS 18month fixed ISA for both new money and transfer from existing Santander ISA which is due to mature. Any thoughts from the more financially savvy than me. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Im confused as to whether I’m being taxed or not. The accounts are specific Child Savers from Leeds BS. By default am I not being taxed because according to hmrc I only…

ISA options for 24/25 (paying in throughout year).
I currently have a Shawbrook ISA, locked at 5.83% till Sept this year, which I can continue to contribute to till then. When it comes to 24/25 are there any similar ISAs out there in terms of being able to pay in throughout the year? I appreciate they won't be anything like 5.83%, but there is no point looking at the ISAs…

JISA to avoid Parent Gift Tax
Sorry I feel like this is a really simple question, but can't find exactly the answer when looking on the forum. Maybe looking for the wrong key words, so advanced apologies for the likely repetition. I have only just realised about the Parent gift tax rule for under 18s, possibly because we have never been close to…

Transfer old ISA and start with new provider
Can I transfer an ISA which matures on 15 April 2024 and then start a new ISA with a new provider? Do I have to wait until I have transferred the old ISA or can I start with a different new provider on April 6th? In other words does transferring my old ISA means I have used up my 2024 allowance ?

ISA
I have a 1 year fixed rate ISA (opened May 23) which will mature in May 24. If I re-invest this when they offer me my options, will this still count as year year 23/24? Can I open a new ISA for the new tax year 24/25 as soon as the tax year starts in April? Thank you for any advice.

Lisa bonus first home purchase
Sorry if answered before but can't seem to find answer. If the full £4k put into a Lisa on new tax year i.e. 7th April will the full bonus of £1k get added say within 2 months or will I have to wait a full year to get all of the bonus. Planning to buy first home within that same tax year so the Lisa will be closed via…

Get interest paid into or out of LISA?
Hi, is there any benefit to having the interest paid into vs out of the LISA please? I know interest earned on interest credited won’t be taxed, but there is no additional government bonus etc. so thinking it may be worth having it paid out for access reasons. I don’t currently pay tax. Thank you

ISA Novice - Guidance please on cash in.
Hi, I opened 2 x Fixed Rate Cash ISAs in January with Shawbrook, it was my intention to add £20k to one of the ISAs on the 6th April. Just checked the rate and it is 5.01% and I know I could get a slightly better rate of 5.17% with Plum. Couple of questions in my mind. 1. It might take a few days longer than we have to…

Transferring previous years Cash ISAs into a Flexible ISA
I have a couple of previous years fixed rate cash ISAs where the term is coming to an end in November '24 (approx £44k inc interest earned). I would normally reinvest this in new fixed rate 2 or 3 year cash ISAs but want to use the money to support buying a new home around that time. I plan to open a new '24-'25 Flexible…

Does anyone else use Trading 212 for their S&S ISA?
Hi Each year I invest my ISA allowance in passive index funds on the Vanguard platform. At the end of each tax year I then transfer these over to my iWeb account to store them. (there is zero platform fees on iWeb!) For a bit of fun I thought Id try a different trading platform. Perhaps Trading212. - Are there trading fees…

ISA Question
I opened an easy access 2 year Isa in May 2023 with £20,000, which won't mature until until May 2025, so can I open another Isa in April of this year? Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere & TIA.
