Transfer from Cash ISA to Lifetime ISA in current tax year
I added the full allowance of £20k to my Cash ISA with one provider in the current tax year. I thought I could later move £4k of that to my Lifetime ISA with another provider, but when I tried the Cash ISA provider blocked it. They say “Unfortunately, we are not able to proceed with this request because the customer has…

ISA transfers
Recently I moved the entire contents of an old Cash ISA to a new Cash ISA with the same bank as the old one was a one year fix. Am I able to open another Cash ISA with another provider and transfer, say, £5,000 from yet another existing Cash ISA account or is this not allowed under the £20k annual limit?

Trading 212 reducing bonus interest early
Hi all I set up a new cash ISA with Trading 212 as attracted by their bonus interest for new customers lasting 12 months. I noticed that the interest rate dropped and the bonus was no longer applied. I queried this and was told it was for a 3 month period only. This was not as mentioned on MSE site or on Trading…

Cash ISA instead of regular savings account? Is there a difference?
Hi all. Bit of an odd situation, hoping for a shine of the light. I currently have a Santander Edge Saver account at 3.93% interest, of which anything over 4k I believe is subject to a lower interest rate, and a regular saver also at 3.93%, which will reduce to 2.96% on August 1st. Having read the latest MSE newsletter…

ISA transfers: it's nice when they just work
It's nice when ISA transfers "just work". Opened a new cash ISA online (with a traditional building society) on Saturday, was asked if I wanted to transfer in an existing cash ISA as part of the account opening process, got notified first thing on Monday that the request was in progress, and then notified again…

Transferring an investment ISA to a cash ISA
I have an investment ISA and want to transfer it to a cash ISA. I wanted to open an ISA with Charter Savings Bank but they don't accept transfers from Invesment ISAs. I've had a look but can't find anyone who does - does anyone know of a company that will accept such a transfer? TIA.

Tembo ISA transfer in delays
Hi I took out and maxed out a Tembo ISA in April, I want to transfer my Coventry BS ISA to Tembo, but it's over 2 months now and there's still a pause on the transfer in - very frustrating given the difference in interest rates 4.8% as opposed to 3.3%. I keep asking and get profuse apologies with no indication of when I…

Having Difficulty withdrawing money from Virgin “easy access” f flex isa
Can anybody tell me why Virgin’s systems keep telling me I’m over my payment limit and refusing to make a transaction? My total taxable earning for this year is only going to be about 15k so I figured I could move the £25k emergency fund out of the easy access isa into a newly opened Chase account with the bonus saver rate…

KRBS complaint about restrictive ISA T&Cs
I have logged a complaint with KRBS about their requirement to transfer in full all existing current year ISA subscriptions to them - if you are to open a new KRBS ISA . Their official final response: 'Whilst the government announced new ISA rules with the hope of making ISAs more flexible for customers, this is not a…

Getting started with investing: S&S ISA?
I have a lot of cash savings (mostly cash ISAs) earning an average of 4.9% and am wondering about investing some of them for a better return, while still keeping a few years of expenses in cash. I've already put a decent amount this year into my SIPP but am reluctant to put all my eggs in that basket as I won't be able to…

Skipton BS - Maturing ISA
Has anybody else had problem with SBS closing a fixed rate cash ISA before it matures, despite having been sent clear instructions to the contrary, and imposing a considerable financial penalty ? They have admitted their mistake but have already waited almost 2 months and they still have not reimbursed/compensated me.…

Bed and ISA of corporate shares
Hi all, my company awards us some of our bonus every year in shares which then vest 3 years later. This is alongside a cash bonus which we pay tax on immediately in our paycheck. The first batch of shares for many years vests this week and we've had various online seminars from the shares provider, Equiniti, to support…
