Barclays Premier 2yr Fixed Term Flexi ISA - have I missed something?
Just opened this and funded it with £1000 to keep it available for new funding next tax year if it still proves to be a good interest rate.
After opening the ISA I looked at the account info it states that the interest rate is variable- they have called it a fixed term account - have I missed something?
Is it a fixed rate account?
My account hasn't been given its correct title yet so I'm hoping that it will all update once the funds arrive.
I haven't received a 'Welcome to Your New account ' document yet either to double check

The interest rate on all the Barclays Single/Premier 1-3 Year Flexible Cash ISAs is fixed. The only variable ISA accounts they have are the Instant Cash ISA and Reward ISA.
Presuming that you applied for the right account, I guess it's possible that it could display wrongly until it's funded (like a placeholder) but that would seem unusual. If you're checking in the app, it would be worth checking online banking via a browser too in case it's an app 'quirk'. Definitely avoid funding it further until this is resolved.

Yep, checked on line and in the app. Then contacted CS via chat who didn't understand why it's showing as variable.
I guess it will right itself once the Welcome letter has been sent.
It made me question my sanity though 🤣
