Batteries been thrown away when they are OK
Over the last 6 months I have been checking batteries recovered from various items, remotes, kids toys, torches etc. I have found that approximately 60% were still fully charged, most items had only 1 flat battery which was obviously responsible for the failure or poor performance of the item, the other 2 or 3 in the item…

After a fantastic family trip to Disney World in October, we've decided we want to go back in 2013 (April). :j However, it's going to take a lot of tight beltening and saving money whenever and wherever we can to make this happen ! The idea is to NOT put the holiday/spending money on a credit card :naughty: I thought it…

So I've started saving...again.
Having been a reader on this forum for a while I thought it would be useful for me to start a 'savings diary'. I've always been a keen saver and previously saved a lot from my last job which I worked at from when I was 18. My boyfriend and I started living together last year at his nans, and obviously were able to save…

Don't know where to start
Hi This year I am desperate to save as much money as I can. I hate constantly being worried about money and I feel like I will never be in a better position if I don't do something. The problem is I don't earn a great wage (and I don't think I can get a job with a much bigger wage as I don't have the qualifications) and I…

Does anyone know of a virtual 'piggy bank' tool that I can motivate myself with?
I have been lumbered with a crappy, crappy task at work which I really don't want to do. It's almost the final straw, and to be honest I've really thought long and hard about even resigning rather than do it, but instead I've come up with a cunning plan instead that I think will get me through the six months that I'm going…

Saving, and I love it!
Hi everyone :) So my current situation is, I have graduated from Uni with a Law degree, and have just started a job in a bank. I want to save as much as I can, partially because whenever I am ready to buy my own house I want to have as big a deposit as I can, rather than a giant mortgage, and because having seen first hand…

So disappointed with Sainsbury's
Regarding the great Antoine De Clevecy Champagne offer mentioned on this site. Having never made an order with Sainsbury's before I thought this a truly superb deal. Without delay I quickly placed my order on the 31st of October. Everything went smoothly and I added a £2 jar of drinking chocolate and selected a delivery…
