Cheap places to buy Allevia / Fexafenadine
I've only seen it sold as Allevia and never just under the brand name. It's the only thing that helps my hayfever but it's not cheap! I usually buy it in Boots. But is there anywhere cheaper to buy it?

I’ve had to see a different dentist as unfortunately the one who did my filling has left. They have said I need to pay again as I’ve seen someone…

Dental Insurance
There seems to be no place on MSE for this matter - the last thread I can find on 'health and beauty' relating to it petered out in 2021. OH and I belong to a dental practice which has a 'payment plan'. This offers for a fee a number of perks. Basically your check ups are 'free' and you get 10% off the cost of private…

NHS dental charges….
So I’m quite confused! I’ve now been advised I need three filling repairs, obviously band 2 treatment, but was also told I have gum disease and need to see a ‘therapist!’ (Their words, not mine. Assume they mean hygienist. ) For a gum clean. I was always of the understanding that if a clean was deemed clinically necessary…

Help! Bleached hair won’t hold new salon colour and it’s costing me a fortune! Can I box dye?
Up until recently I had a half head of bleached highlights, with the lightest Redken permanent colour as my main hair colour. Before Christmas I asked my stylist to dye it a dark purpley red colour. She said because it was bleached she didn’t need a permanent dye on it as my natural hair colour was already stripped out, so…

Hearing Aids, Oticon, and Television
I bought a pair of Oticon hearing aids a while back, and although they help with the television a bit, the improvement isn't as significant as I'd hoped. I've considered purchasing one of Oticon's TV adapters, but after spending around £4000 on the hearing aids, I'm reluctant to spend an additional £300. The purpose of…

When is a crown necessary on NHS
Hi, in the past month or two I’ve had two chunks of tooth fall off two different teeth. I know they both have very large fillings. (Think more filling than tooth) and I know a crown was mentioned briefly for one of them in the past. I suspect they both need crowns, but from a cost point of view I can’t see my dentist being…
