I'm trying to order glasses from one of the weekly deals. Could someone check what happens if you press the 'select lenses' button on this page

https://www.glassesdirect.co.uk/glasses/frames/henry-matte-black-l-15923

On my two browsers it just reselects exactly the same page!  However, on one occasion somehow I manage to open up the lens page, was able to enter the prescription and lenses then go onto ordering my second pair of glasses at which point I had the same problem, same page and could progress no further.  I've attempted to switch off pop up blockers on my Chrome browser but can't be certain.  However I don't think I have a pop up blockers on Edge and I have the same problem, keep moving to same page, and can't move onto lenses page!

It's an error with the website - the other colour variants work.

Even working out the follow up URL based on the other variants still returns back to the default page: https://www.glassesdirect.co.uk/product/rx?id=15923

I think you're forced to contact them.

At least that's saved my sanity, if not the time. I was having a similar problem yesterday with a totally different site.  I can certainly find them!

I gave up and tried another frame.  This time the lens button worked but it kept telling me the prescription had to be within the last two years, even through I was putting in todays date (I had my eye test this morning).  Neither did it accept any other date!  That's a dreadful site!

I had the same issue trying to use the 2for1 offer and received an email response from the Company. It seem that if you order reading glasses(whatever the prescription) there is no option to select 'Basic' lenses and the minimum order is now 'Gold' package adding £14.50 per pair to the price(whether you like it or not!).I never had this issue with previous orders. They say that they have a 'new system' which has resulted in this change.. Therefore,if you order two pairs of reading glasses the minimum cost is now £43.00.If you order distance glasses you can order 'basic' lenses,as advertised for £14.00 for two pairs. This makes no sense at all to me, especially as you can buy ready-made reading glasses at many supermarkets for less than a fiver, and there is no mention of this change on the website.

Having similar problems trying to use the 2for1 offer for £14 that ends on 15th. I can order the frames, enter my prescription (for reading glasses), choose basic lenses BUT I then get a screen to add £99 premium lenses. It's impossible to bypass this. Has anyone managed it please?

I’ve had the same issue as smileruk1, received an email saying “Before we proceed with your order, we wanted to inform you that—based on the prescription you’ve provided and our updated lens system—the minimum lens packagewe can offer for your reading glasses is the Gold Lens Package.” No mention of this while going through the order process, and it’s the same prescription that I used last time. My wife has had the same message. Never had this problem with Glasses Direct offers before. It seems that the deal they offered isn’t a deal they actually intended to fulfill.
