Safeguarding large sum of money
A relative in his twenties is due to inherit over £500,000. He is intelligent and has mental capacity. However he has little experience of managing money, a trusting and generous nature, and mental health problems. He feels at risk of financial exploitation, and of making foolish decisions and wants to do what he can to…

Pip appeal first stage appeal court Monday 17th of September 2018
I'm at the first tier appeal court this Monday. I had been on DLA since 1991. When I went to the pip assessment I failed so went for the mandatory decision…

A bit of advice
I wonder if anyone could give me some advice, in 2016 my partner transferred from High Rate Care & Low Rate Mobility DLA to PIP. Upon application he was awarded full care but no mobility though he had been given 8 point for that component. We requested a mandatory reconsideration but this failed and then went to tribunal…

Pre-paid prescription. Is it worth a year over 3 months ?
I have been buying a pre-payment card for my 3 prescribed meds. So far I can stretch buying a 3 month pass (£29.10) 3 times over a year as I tend to re-order a couple of times for the duration of the 3 months (as there seems to be no limit on how many times you can re-order withing the 3 month period) So in theory you are…

Mangar Airflo Mk 3 - battery not charging
My elderly in-laws purchased a Mangar Airflo Mk 3 bath lifting cushion (probably not the correct technical term!) a few years ago. It has received very little use, they both use showers rather than baths these days but the unit stopped charging a while back. Rather than just scrap it I'd like to repair it and sell it for…

Disabled Parking outside my house
There has been a disabled parking bay painted on the ground in the back lane on my side of the road outside my house for the people who live across the road because they have put a shed on their drive way. I'm planning on putting a driveway on the back of my house and i was wondering if this disabled bay could be moved or…

Council refused to renew BB for a disabled 74 year old woman
Another Blue Badge query. My wife has had her BB since August 2015. She does not receive PIP or DLA as being too old to apply. She however does receive Attendance Allowance for day and night care indefinitely and has done for the past six years since she was 68. I completed the online renewal process as per the email the…

Hi all :) TLDR; Currently been 8 weeks since reassessment claim was received, is this normal? Advice? Blue Badge - Can I Stay Parked In Same Place If I Keep Changing Time?
Like say there is double yellow lines outside my house, can I just keep a car parked out there in the same place by getting someone to go out every 3 hours to change the time to add another 3 hours on? or isn't that allowed? :money: I realise I could get my own disabled parking space outside my house by the council, but I…

Bank Branch Closed
The NatWest branch in town has closed. The only way to pay money in is queuing for AGES at the Post Office with my paying in book. There are a few other banks I can get cashpoint money out, but I'd like to move my BASIC account. I'm on ESA and get below £6,500 per annum, and don't think I would get an account elsewhere.…
