How do the DWP know what you are earning when getting Universal Credit?
Just a quick question, with regards to Universal Credit, how do the DWP know what you may be earning if your income is not declared? Or, what if a change in circumstances is not declared? Is the whole system based on trust? Seems odd if it is..... Are pensions known to them? I know that it would be fraud by not declaring…

Fitters of Used Mobility Scooter Car Hoist
This was a thread a couple of years ago, but like many others, I have been given a nearly-new Autochair Car Hoist. The problem is that no-one is interested in fitting something they did not supply! Someone back then mentioned a firm in the East Midlands who would fit (and supply) used hoists, but my search has had no…

I was taken off ESA in Dec 19 after an assessment. I was told to apply for UC instead. I requested a mandatory reconsideration. I then appealed the decision and I won my Tribunal appeal in July. Wheelchair lift planning permission refused
I rent a bungalow, when I moved in, my disabilities were not as bad, however they have progressed significantly over the past 3 years. Zero on my PIP assessment... something that confused me
Hi there, I'm not sure what to do here, or whether I even have a basis to attempt to get this decision changed, but there's some things that seem off. (I'll skip the stuff I agree with and just list the bits that seemed wrong in my PIP assessment letter). Just so the following makes sense, I don't have any physical…

Struggling but in a peculiar situation and really do not know what to do?
Apologies but this is a very long story .... I bought my house with a mortgage from the Woolwich (now Barclays) in 2005, so have lived here for over 15 years. In 2005 I was in full time work and had a partner who also worked full time but who had no claim on the house. Sadly by 2010, my health took a dramatic nose dive, I…

Deja Vu and Driving
Not sure if this is the right category to post on but couldn't think where it would fit, so sorry. When I was a student (almost five years ago), I had a seizure.
