IVA-how long do they remain on credit file once paid off?
Hi, I thinking about entering an IVA to clear some of my debts. After i've done that, its likely I'll sell my house and just pay off the rest (I want to move it anyway, so its not a case of selling it for the sake of paying off debts). What I want to know is, does the "IVA" still appear on my credit file if I pay off the…

Hi everyone - time for my first post ... and rant! I moved back to Australia last July and set up a Direct Debit to pay off my HSBC overdraft & credit card. Debt recovery letter sent to our home
I opened it as it just showed our house number and street through the window and I though it was something for us, but it turns out to be for someone else, a woman I've never heard of. They put her name, the name of a block of flats at the top of our road, but then our house number and street. I've looked on 192.com and…

Not sure if this is the correct board so I am just going to be cheeky and post it on another board as well. Firstly, Thanks a lot to all you good people on MSE I was foolish enough to ignore a credit card debit of £3,000 back in 2006. This was then taken to court and a ccj followed by an interim charge on my share…

Saturday 16/02/08 What small dfw thing have you done today???
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym. But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when…

Does anyone know?
We have the tax credit exemption cards so we get free prescriptions, eye tests etc. When we got our glasses we got free eye tests and our lenses free... but I'm considering contacts and was wondering if anyone knew if we'd get anything off those like we do with the glasses because of the exemption card?
