Can I stop credit being taken out in my name?
Hello. I wonder if you can help me with this rather odd request. I wanted to know if I can stop credit being taken out in my name? As I say bit of an odd one. About 7 years back my grandson took out a phone in my name without me knowing. He caught the delivery man before knocking at my door (it had to be delivered this…

Credit club affected by AI auto save?
HI, I have been really careful to budget as much as possible over the last 7 months, and it has made a huge difference. Except.... I use Chip as an automatic saving app, which uses AI to figure out what to take out of my account every few weeks. It is ace - however, on my MSE credit club, it says that my cashflow is…

Credit check "cool off" period?
Hi all, Today I switched to Nationwide for the £200 bonus and I was looking at the Barclaycard here to do some "stoozing". I haven't had a lot of credit checks in the last year or so and, generally, my credit rating is pretty good. Nonetheless, I know there was a (successful but still) hard credit check by Nationwide.…

Termination Notice
Hi, received the attached letter from Barclays. In January this year they incorrectly applied their right to set off a payment from a debit account with no arranged overdraft and no credit balance. In short this took the account into an unauthorised overdraft, the debit was disputed but Barclays ignored this and debited…

Credit Karma
I know credit scores are arbitrary and overall I've got great credit history, but the one thing that always "flags" up on my Credit Karma account is that having credit of £15,000 or more will increase my score. Currently it's at £14,500 over 2 credit cards, is it really worth asking for an increase of £500 on one of them?!

View All 3 Credit Agency Scores Simultaneously
So most people know that in the UK we have 3 credit agencies - Experian, Equifax and TransUnion.. each has their own credit score index, each receives data from lenders at different times and therefore scores are updated at different times. Protecting myself from identity fraud and potentially other crimes
It seems that I have exposed myself to identity fraud by carelessly disposing of shredded documents. I have since read that crooks may reassemble documents and use the information for crime. It's too late for me to stop this potential information leak. What should I do now to protect myself? I'm in the midst of a house…

Hi all Not sure if anyone can give some advice. A while ago JAJA contacted me to say they were withdrawing my credit card and that it was a 'business decision'. Unknown Three account on file which nobody there can find or help with
I went to apply for some Interest Free credit on a purchase this week and it was declined to my surprise even though my rating is over 750 on Clearscore/Equifax with no missed payments on anything. It turns out the credit supplier uses Transunion and when I checked on there (and on Experian) there is a H3G (Three) account…

Help with credit check
I am trying to move my phone contract and I keep "failing" the credit check because my address is apparently not linked to the address I'm providing.
