How to drop 10 points Experian.

Delighted to view accurate minus 10 points from Experian Score.
Why- Make use of 0%VM Offer via Cooker purchase.
Is it possibly-
1. I'm using 'More Credit'
2. Percentage of Utilsation has changed.
3. Total Credit Balances have Increased.

It's times such as these, I continue to visually check Score anyway.
I intend to re check next year once cocker is repaid.

The score is immaterial as no one looks at it except consumers and the companies that make money be promoting credit scores.

What matters is credit history which is what a bank etc will look at if you want to borrow money.  Some won't care if you have CCJs a few years back as long as you're paying everything now.  Others will focus more on the CCJs or the fact that there was a blip 4 years back.

Yes there is likely to be a vague relationship between the two so if you borrow more money or don't repay your debts they will both worsen.

You've been on these boards long enough to know that the score isn't a thing?

My Transunion dropped 30 points this month and nothing happened. No accounts opened or closed. Balances had no material change. No searches. Nothing dropped off or put on. Just the score movement. Am I worried? No. The only thing I focus on is behaviour and history - and so should you.

The score you see is not particularly important and small movements in the score can happen for any, or no, reason.
What you should gain by checking the credit reference agencies is visibility of the data they have and ability to alert any discrepancies.
All three of the factors you have highlighted will have some impact on how any future lender may view your status.

TBF your score should have the unique -500 representation to show lenders you can't afford your current debts, want more debts for no reason and are addicted to spending what you can't afford on things you don't need

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
