Credit checks and phone contract change before closing. Can you speak to the lender directly?

I have a mortgage approved but move in date isn’t until July.
As many know phone contract prices aren’t too great just now and mines going up. My device plan is due to finish later in the year and my term has ended. I’ve found out by moving to a different provider and getting an upgraded phone my contact will go down £24 a month.
I’m however concerned about if this could effect mortgage offer as know they will likely recheck it possibly a few times before completion and it’d show checks and credit. The offer papers do mention new credit but more if it affects affordability. We’re borrowing about £200,000 less than we could do so affordability isn’t really a concern for us especially with monthly cost going down!
Does anyone know if it is possible to contact the lender for advice on this? Specific to them. If the move in wasn’t July would just grin and bear it but it’s still a while off!
I’m also a little concerned about other credit checks as we need to get house insurance, life and health insurance and set up a utility as currently don’t have one and these all generate credit checks. When you do these compare sites you see multiple checks just for that! Our broker has said no checks should be done really so don’t know how we’d do this. They never actually advised not to do this until I found forums online and asked which I wish I’d known.
Thanks

I'd wait until July, generally a hard search for something like a phone isn't a major issue after 3 months or so but it's a risk to save £72 and lose your mortgage offer when you could just wait until after
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
