Hi All Stayed at a lovely B&B in Brighton a few weeks ago for one night. Slapped it on my flexi friend - the lady in the B&B had a problem with the machine - it ran out of paper and she had no idea what to do with it and at one point handed it me to see if I could put paper in it! Anyway she put my card through twice and…

I took out an MBNA card about 10 months ago with a 9 month interest free. When it came to an end I contacted them about reducing the interest rate from the 16% I thought I was paying, They said to me we can reduce it from 29% to 23%. Apparently the letter telling me I was going to be put on this extortionate rate of…

However...what about 'cash back' at supermarkets? Does that count as a 'purchase' (ie, interest free) or a cash withdrawal? This is my first credit card, so sorry…

Balance transfer on 0% and interest charges
I have just got Barclaycard on the 0% interest on balance transfers with a 2.5% charge for the BT. I am wondering though - will this charge count as a purchase and therefore not qualify for the 0% ? still worse any payments will not pay this off until the whole of the BT has been paid off? Any advice much appreciated.
