Universal Credit Change of Circumstance question
I receive UC and I started a part-time job doiing 15 hours a week. So I went on the UC website and filled in the Change of Circumstance thing. I then realised that I'd put the wrong rate of pay so I went on the website again and filled in the Change of Circumstance thing again. It's just occurred to me that, because I've…

PIP Tribunal- adjournment no 2!!
Hi all, Diagnosed with CFS (2018), depression (1996), and anxiety (2016), I’ve been fighting for PIP since a 0-point assessment (Nov 2023). My evidence is I believe robust. My tribunal has now faced two adjournments: • March 19, 2025: DWP failed to provide evidence (LCWRA, PIP 2017, ESA). This delay worsened my…

Updating UC regarding 'Capital'?
Just editing to say ignore this, I've just seen there's another thread about the same thing! There must be a new initiative :) Hi, Is anyone able to clarify this; do you have to update your 'Capital' every time there's a change, even if it's just through paying a bill? My work coach seems to think so but it would mean I…

Carers Allowance Current Wait Time
Applied for Carers Allowance online just over a month ago, the email I received said I should get a decision in about 6 weeks but that it may take longer. I've read elsewhere that it can take up to 12-15 weeks. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a decision recently and how long their wait was. Many thanks

UC reduction in savings declaration
Hi, does anyone know if you are in receipt of UC and your savings total reduces, do you have to declare it? I can understand reporting an increase, but if you’re already below the £6k limit anyway do you need to report a further reduction? And if so, how often? Thanks!

Yet another ESA to UC question.
Just had my migration letter. Did it all online ok but just reading and wondering why claims pre April 2017 get so much less. My claim was pre 2017. I know they said it won't go down to start with but that's temporary. Anyone know why this is? Don't really want to be on hold for an hour to ask DWP.

ESA to UC migration. 2 week run on
Started the migration process last friday, May 30th. Should the 2 week run on coincide with the usual ESA pay date, or be paid 2 weeks after the UC claim date? Last ESA payment received 23/5, so should I have expected a further payment today, or would it be next week ( 2 weeks after UC claim date)? Same for housing…

Informing UC and keeping a record
HI, Hopefully not a stupid question. Numerous threads here advise to send a letter to DWP for a record of having let them know important details. UC advise to use the claimant's online 'Journal' and take/ save screen captures of entries. The journal entry shows date and time and name of updater / claimant. If claimant is…

Child Benefit and NI contributions
Hello My son was born over 10 years ago, and we’ve been claiming Child Benefit for him since then. I earn above the threshold for the High Income Child Benefit Charge, while my wife is a stay at home parent. We had assumed that since the Child Benefit was being paid into my wife’s bank account, she would automatically…

Hi, I have recently come out of a job by mutual agreement as I have been really struggling with mental health. I don't want to go back in to a high pressured job and wanted to take something with less hours and obviously less money. Would I be able to claim anything to help support financially. Transferring child benefit NI credit
I've seen a few threads about this, but mostly from a few years ago and not sure if things have changed more recently on how they process these? Typical story - I set up child benefit in my name as I was the one paying NI. After a year I changed it (or so I thought) to my partner, but it appears I only changed the bank…

ESA suspended - easy to reinstate?
Okay the situation is my mum put in a claim for esa in February with the sick note required and that was for 2 months. She sent in another sick note exactly the same but with new dates in April. Both sick notes say it's for bereavement when she's actually claiming for anxiety as a result of the traumatic death. She had her…
