Hi
Not sure if anyone can help partner has had a text to say review complete and a decision will arrive within 2 weeks
Then I rang the helpline to be told new amount for next payment so thinking he has had his award increased
Then I sign onto gov website to ask for statement of entitlement which shows same amount that he's been on
Is the statement the correct award?
Just confused as the automated helpline said a totally different amount
Thanks

I never knew you could do this, it must be something they've recently brought out. I checked mine and it's correct for me. It will tell you the start and end date of the award so you should know from that.1

Yeah must be quite new... tried it just now myself... a bit fiddly but once set up could be useful if anyone needed proofs of benefits (UC aside as you'd need to use online account for that).
On the question from the Op.... hmmm.. could be timing issue. I suspect you'll know very soon from decision letter what the reality is."Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack1 -
Thanks for the link. I didn't know about this service either, only the one where you could obtain a letter by post for a very limited amount of benefits.I've just checked mine. The start and end date for PIP is correct. The ESA start date is a little strange though:Dear xxxPlease find the information you requested below.Your entitlement detailsYou were awarded Contributory Employment and Support Allowance.Entitlement start date: 26 November 2025Current amount: £140.55The start date is in the future! I'm assuming this is something to do with the Christmas Bonus and ties in with my last uprating ESA letter which notified me of a change in benefit rates and stated "The amounts on this page apply from 9 April 2025 to 25 November 2025".

More than likely as the annual updating letters sent out in March/April 25 only says up to 18.11.25 due to Christmas Bonus.Robbie64 said:Thanks for the link. Please don't ask why they do this as I have no idea and I expect they get thousands of calls as everyone thinks their award is going to end🫣1 -
With regards to the different amounts of PIP on the automated PIP helpline and that on the PIP Statement of Entitlement (which mine is headed) I'm guessing it's down to timing, as Muttleythefrog has posted. It's possible that the PIP payment system has been updated but whichever part of the system generates the letter using the above link has yet to be updated. My letter includes a "from" and "to" date which matches my last PIP award (made back in 2022). To the original poster: what dates are on your letter? Do they match the dates on your existing PIP award? I would expect an award which has been reviewed to have a revised date with a recent "from" date and a different "to" date, even if the PIP award itself is unchanged. Also, my letter doesn't show actual amounts, just the component parts of PIP that I get.1
