He got sent the forms in July and got a text last week to say desicion madeborn_again said:
Back dating is usually from the start of when the reassessment was due. Not from the date the decision was made. Certainly was in my wife's case.poppy12345 said:
£558.40 is the 4 weekly amount for Enhanced daily living and standard mobility. For this reason the letter is correct and the automated payment line hasn’t updated yet, which very often happens with a new award.shazajo said:
Next payment is 19th November and it says we will pay you £558.40 on 19th but then automated line says £412.40 on the 19th but award letter says £558.40 on the 19th and we think we owe you money we will write to you separately?born_again said:When is your payment date?
Back payments tend to be separate & not included in your normal payments. If the date of the award is from 21st October 2025 then I would say very little money is owed.
So when did OP start the reassessment?0 -
Partner has just received another award letter with lower award how can they do this ? Especially when the one he got 2 days ago said his needs has changed and awarded him enhanced now today back to standard
I thought it was strange how when I rang helpline it said higher amount then few days later his original amount
That's bad errors on there part and there also dated 2 days apart0 -
Hmmm..it was simple until that arrived... one of these decision letters must have been sent in error - they will not be making two different decisions at the same time regarding the same reassessment (or if they have something went badly wrong internally). This has happened to me before. Call the helpline and query and hopefully they will confirm one has been sent in error (in my case the first sent was error). I presume they reflect the same decision date? Can you confirm the decision dates are the same 'I will award you x from'...i.e. they reflect the same decision albeit detail it differently?shazajo said:Partner has just received another award letter with lower award how can they do this ? This is extremely odd. I think they need to clarify and explain what decision has actually been taken - it is possible the agent on the phone themselves might have to refer to a Decision Maker to investigate. But from the information you've given here something has gone wrong and I would expect the agent on the phone to realise this when they see the 2 decision letters on the systemshazajo said:
