Sky, BT or Virgin for wireless multi room?
Coming to the end of our fixed term contracts for Sky TV and broadband in the next few months, so open to all options. Ideally, we want a way of watching live & recorded TV in other rooms of the house via the broadband/wifi rather than having the second and third box wired to a sky dish, telephone cable or ethernet cable.…

USB3 External Drive not vsisible
I have this Seagate 1TB USB3 external drive that I backup stuff to. I used Macrium 5 to clone my hard disk to the USB3 drive, then realised thats not what I wanted to do. I went to use it and only 495GB was visible, This seemed to be because Macrium had cloned my hard disk into an exact copy on the USB drive - formatting…

VPN Questions inc. Nord VPN
In general I've been thinking about privacy and security more. As such, I'm considering starting to use a VPN but am not sure whether it's worth it. I don't care how tame your internet searches are the thought of that kind of data being leaked makes me nervous. I use Google services a lot and even though I have history…

32bit or 64bit Microsoft updates
I recently bought an old refurbished pc via Amazon. I'm convinced it's a 32bit machine. But I'm getting regular Microsoft updates for 64bit PCs. This means that the vast majority of all the updates coming through are failing. It probably means I'm missing all the 32bit versions? Any ideas? Cheers

How to use Compass?
Stupid question but bought compass for Grandson 11 ( stocking filler) but can't fathom how to use it. There are no instructions, I thought it would be simple. It has a fixed metal surround with a see through glass (plastic) centre that is moveable. There is a thin green line on this that is the "reference point" whatever…
