weird face pop up on tablet
My friend has just got her first tablet and is trying to get her head around the ins and outs of using it. This is the first "computer" she has used so is finding it a bit of a learning curve. However, she has been a bit unnerved by a face that has appeared on the screen. She said it was horrible, filled about a third of…

Digital Photo Frames?
Does anyone know of a decent cheaper digital photo frame? I'm looking for one for my parents and another for my OH, saw one for about £24 in Argos but I'm guessing that isn't much good for that price. I don't know much about them so thought I'd ask. Thanks.

Virtual machines
I had a problem I thought might be fixed by running an earlier version of Windows than 10 which I now have on all of my machines. I looked up how to install a VM and have installed VirtualBox and pulled down an XP and a Win7 machine from Microsoft. Everything worked just fine apart from not solving the issue I installed…

iPad sim - best deal/coverage?
Partly for business use, I've invested in a refurb'd iPad Air to replace my old non-cellular iPad 2, which my mother will now use. I probably won't use the cellular very much; it'll just be to upload pics & social media updates for my small business when I'm out trading, not to watch movies & catch-up TV. So what's likely…

I asked in Curry's for a idea of what to…

Linux (Ubuntu) - flash etc.
Ok. So after a recent reformat for the first time I now have Linux (Ubuntu 14.04) installed on my laptop. I'm going to give it a go for at least a day and see if it's going to be a workable solution. First impressions say 'no'. Problems; Well as it's not popular (like Windows for example) most of the programmes/plug-ins…
