Hi I'm having a nightmare with my desktop PC/Olympus camera.
When I put my memory card into my PC it will not download my photos (have done this previously for last few years) so I tried using the charging lead from my camera to the PC and it worked for about four months until now.
I asked in Curry's for a idea of what to look for ,they suggested to update Drop box I'm happy to do this but am worried about loosing all my photos.
The version I'm using is 3.12.5
Any help would be appreciated thank you .
Hope you can understand my ramblings x

When you put your memory card into your PC, does anything open or show? Go to My Computer, or File Explorer and see if any new drives appear..
Upgrading dropbox wont lose your photo's, but I doubt also it will help with the problem you have...0 -
Hi Thank you for your reply I just put my memory card and went into my computer and it was in there as k drive x0

If your PC is definitely seeing the memory card, you can always copy and paste directly to your dropbox folder.
Also, dropbox stores your photos on the cloud (server-side), you only have control over updating the Dropbox app on your PC (client-side). You can even uninstall the app without removing your photos.
Btw, Dropbox also has a file versioning feature, so you can still recover your deleted files (i believe there's a time limit imposed though).
Back to your issue... It sounds to me like the "auto-play" options have been changed for your camera. Do you have another computer you could try it on?
EDIT: What are your autoplay settings currently configured to?
Open AutoPlay by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type autoplay, and then click AutoPlay.0 -
Thanks for your reply auto box is ticked ?0

What does the drop-down box for pictures say?0

Import photo and videos using dropbox0

Ok rules out that theory.
EDIT: If you set it back to "Ask me everytime", can you reconnect your camera and select then select the import to dropbox option - does it work?0 -
Just done that and it made no difference.0
