new desktop pc good sound for music?

Is there a way to strengthen the signal from my modem/router? The only room it will work in is the living room. I can't connect ŵith my laptop from my room and my sons Xbox won't pick it up either. file is too large for the destination
I am trying to transfer a 4.37GB file onto a 16GB memory stick. I keep geting the message "The file is too large for the destination file system". It is an MKV file, is there anything I can do? I have tried an 8GB and 16GB stick but always get the same message.
