file is too large for the destination

I am trying to transfer a 4.37GB file onto a 16GB memory stick. I keep geting the message "The file is too large for the destination file system". It is an MKV file, is there anything I can do?

I have tried an 8GB and 16GB stick but always get the same message.

is it formatted to FAT32?
If so,thats the limiting factor

Your Pen drive will be formatted in a format called FAT32, it needs to be formatted as NTFS to support a file that size.

Go in computer, right click your pen drive and choose format: note this will delete everything on the USB pen drive

Choose the NTFS file system as opposed to FAT, choose Quick format and press start. Try to copy the file again, it should work.

For non-destructive conversion, use convert.
