Creeping into the world of Linux
Hi all I've currently got Windows 7 on my machine and I'm thinking about getting one of the Linuz flavours. Can someone give me a nice easy starter pack for Linux? Also, how difficult is it to make my machine dual boot as I'd like both options on there depending on what I feel like doing?

Any electricans out there that could give me advice?
I really hope so! It's a bit of a saga I'm afraid! I recently imported a kitchen appliance from America (yeah, I know, that was my first mistake!). It's come with a two pin polarised plug. I knew I needed a step down transformer, and purchased one. And blew it - I've now learnt all about wattage lol. I've purchased an…

Voltage Issue on Dell replacement battery
I am trying to find a replacement battery for my Dell Inspiron 1750. The battery says it is type K450N and 10.8v, but all the replacements, which say they are compatible with the 1750, and K450N, are all 11.1v. Em, not being technically minded, is the voltage an issue? Is my laptop liable to blow up? On Dell's own website,…
