Hi, I am getting HP Touch Pad, I know price is good for what it is ,
but cannot make my mind up considering it is a discounted product.
I have no personal laptop, I use my work one when needed. But I am so conscious so I never really put my personal stuff on it , or never can freely surf on the internet. I was saving up to buy a laptop where I can set up msn, surf on the net , watch films etc .. Now I have an opportunity to get a Touch Pad just a bit over £100 ... Do you technically think that this is worth it? I am concern because I am in a tight budget and don't want to make a mistake just because price is right.
Thank you for your advice.

Where from?
It's a great piece of hardware, but a little sluggish out of the box due to excess 'debugging'. You can do a search in this forum for how to clean disable some of that.
With so many new users, it would appear that there'll be reasonable unofficial support for both WebOS and for Google Android.
You can't go wrong with it.0 -
Thank you RussJK
HP is offering Touch Pad to its employees this week. First come first served basis, there are about 6000 of them- Any surplus will be offered to the market but I really doubt any will be left. If you know someone who works at HP might be able to get it for you although one product is allowed per employee.Don't forget smiling:):)

I bought a joggler when it was abandoned, however the OS was rubbish and no further updates. So looked at android, however that requires physical buttons, and the graphics card on the device has weird graphics chips. So I have a £100 touch screen desk tablet here which is of little use. I work in IT and even I'm surprised how useless this was. What I'm saying is, it sounds great, and it probably will be, but really it's how much the community can do with it which will determine how much you get out of itBored? Let me reassure you that they are selling well on Ebay and I have just bought the "bundle" ( search the forum) at £249 and would be pleased to take yours off your hands ( as would others ) if you decided it wasn't for you.
There is a lot more info on the site precentral but do remember that most people go to dedicated sites with problems.

PS.I did have a faulty one initially which I refunded so I presume that if it is faulty you can return it?0 -
Thank you Andy90 and Paul - I will go ahead with my puchase , I guess I should consider myself lucky ;-)
Yes , if there is a faulty I can get my money back but no replacement as it is the very last batch in the UK.Don't forget smiling:):)
