Using Linux to speed up PC
I have been looking in to booting my PC using a Linux partition on my C: drive, to speed booting up - and have come up with nothing Has anyone succeeded in using PUPPYLINUX to do this ? I have tried booting from USB loaded with Linux and have, again failed Any advice welcome ....

Recording Photos to DVD/CD
We should all do the above, right, in case of a HD failure, which I do, but when they are re-installed, or shown from the Disc, it dosent seem possible to, for instance show an individual folder as a slide show in windows, only as the whole collection. LCD TV - needs to be retuned every time switched on/off
Hi, Pls can anyone advise whether this problem is [easily] repairable? It is an LCD TV which does not "remember" channels, so when you have auto-tuned it it's fine to change channels whilst it is on but when you switch it off and then on again it doesn't retain the channels so you have to re-tune it each time. 4:3 lcd TVs impossible to find nowadays?
