Looking for decent DSLR
Hi Folks Looking for a decent DSLR camera, £200 budget, so likely I'll be looking for a decent used one. Had a look at Olympus E420, which looks OK at 10 megapixels, but wondering if I might be missing out on the opportunity of other cameras. Any thoughts and suggestions gratefully accepted.

The only way round it is to reboot. The number lock key doesn't work, it just completely jams up. It's…

Adapter for a webcam - bright ideas wanted!
The picture shows the side view of a "Logitech Webcam Pro for Notebooks", and the clip fits nicely onto the thin top edge of a laptop. However, it won't fit onto the much fatter top edge of LCD monitors. Logitech do not do a monitor adapter, unfortunately. Has anyone come across any form of adapter (hopefully rather more…

DSLR camera repair
I have a Sony Alpha A200, which I bought almost two years ago on the recommendation of the good people on this board. My plan was to use it for a few months while I saved up for a Canon 5D, then sell it. Sadly, that didn't happen. The pound tanked, camera prices went up and I lost my job. So I've been using the Sony. I've…

Completely Useless Information
I came across a site (http://ns1758.ca/winch/winchest.html) that said an IBM 5 Mb hard disk drive cost $50,000 in 1956. At $10,000/Mb this got me wondering about the 640 Gb HDD in my Dell. In 1956 a 640Gb HDD would have cost approx $10,000 per Mb = $10 million dollars per Gb = $6.4 Billion for 640 Gb. Hope the sums are…
