Understanding CIDR ranges (basic question!)
One of our servers has IP authentication, logging users in automatically if they come from a recognised IP address. I'm normally asked to add IP ranges (such as 111.222.333.400 to 111.222.333.500), but this time I've been given a CIDR range. I've used a CIDR calculator (http://bonomo.info/coyote/cidr-calculator.php) to…

HELP !! Gmail driving me crazy
I set up a new Gmail account a couple of days back, thinking I'd like an account that's not tied to my ISP as I'm planning to switch providers. Anyhow, what a palaver. I set up the account OK, then tried to "import contacts" from my old (BT) account. It seemed to import all my emails as well and delete them from the BT…

Downloading capacity
Am looking at changing my broadband provider, so trying to get an idea of how much downloading we do etc. It shows that I've received 9,850,723 today and sent 2,672,241. How much is this in terms of GB or MB? Is it 9.8MB? Sorry for such a basic question but don't want to get a package with a limit which is unrealistic.…

Does This Add Up?
Hello :) Just trying to pick brains today please :) My ISP is o2, unfortunatley we are outside of their 'area' and we have to have their version of bt's internet which is 17.50 a month. We're pretty happy with it, it's better quality than what we had with Sky and 50p cheaper. The downside is the fact that if o2 *provided*…
