Gong digital tomorrow

Hi folks

Anyone been switched to digital yet ?

We're being switched tomorrow, and I think I know where I'm up to with my new tuner and stuff.
Suppose I'll find out in time, eh?

Anyone have problems when they were switched, or did it all run smoothly ?

The only reason I keep smiling is so that people wonder what I've been up to !!

  • Assuming you're talking about digital TV, as far as I know there haven't been any significant teething problems because they're running digital and analogue in parallel. The "digital switchover" date is actually just the date they turn the analogue signal off: the digital signal will have been running at full power for some time.

That said... I do know someone who was saying how pleased they were with their new digital signal and how much better the picture was since they went over, who later discovered that they'd been watching analogue TV the whole time. I think it was when I mentioned the convenience of the electronic programme guide and they said "Oh, my digital doesn't have one of those" that the penny really started to drop :D
