I was going to connect skybox to the hifi, but there is not the red and white connectors on the back of the hifi, just a headphones socket and an auxiliary socket?

Why can't I call it hifi? It's a Philips MCB204 Micro Hi-Fi System. It just says AUX

I must be a bit slow today, I don't get it, Halloway or aliEnRIK, no in or out aux, just AUX

I see. Like that is it ;)

I ment because even an absolute BASIC 'hifi' would have at LEAST one phono left and right

Do you have a manual? AUX can mean auxillery IN or OUT (As in feed going in for the 'hifi' to amplify it. OR out so something else can amplify it)

From what you say im a little baffled as to exactly WHAT it is as most AUXs will be twin phonos for left and right

Can you tell us the EXACT make and model so maybe I can pull it up off google?

Sorry, in-joke for people who frequent the What Hi-Fi forums, as aliEnRIK and I do.

Does your 'hi-fi' have an AUX input setting on the input selector? If not then I don't see that you can connect anything up to it. If it does, what does the AUX socket look like?

Most Sky boxes have analogue audio out connectors, never heard of them having headphone sockets though.
What is the make and model of your box?
That gum you like is coming back in style.

    Ok

It it does have an AUX IN then. But im struggling finding a picture of the rear of the unit. Does a normal PHONO plug into the aux in? if not have you any idea what would?
