connecting wii to a laptop

@ and " becoming transposed, French keyboqrd
Sometimes over the last few months, @ and " have become transposed. In other words I type " but @ comes up, and vice versa. Today firefox has suddenly decided that my keyboard is French (it isn't) and so it goes azerty across the top and A is Q etc. Is this the sign of a virus? Thank you

external hard drive so slow
Hi, i have just got myself a 160gb hard drive as a birthday prezzie. It is however, so slow when transferring data, such as burning to a cd from it. Write speed is 0.70 kb/s. I'm on my Wii typing this but using the cable that came with the console. I plugged the comp cable in but my tv said 'picture format unavailable'.
