Sony PSP as a language translator,how ?

I am about to go to Cape Verde as a volunteer and was thinking of buying a PSP so i could communicate with the locals in Portugese through the PSP.I have a language translator programme on my laptop can i install it onto a PSP ? did not want to take my laptop.Also where could i down load some interesting stuff to show the children when im out there.

a) There is a thing for the psp called something like TalkMan and then you can buy UMD's with diff languages on

b) You CANT install PC software on a PSP

c) You can put any jpg images, and any videos which are converted into MP4 format onto the PSP - not sure what you mean by "interesting stuff"

Thanks Shane,yeah the interesting stuff looks a bit odd what i meant was can i down load stuff free that would interest the kids coz the cost of add ons gets a bit scary.

Yeah the translator for psp is called Talkman. it should also come bundled with a free microphone, that goes in the psp's usb port

Thanks G.G. but i think i" ll abort the idea as a communicator ,read some sites that suggested it was slow in communicating comes only in Spanish ,Italian,French,German and one other but not Portugese which i need you also need a bum bag to transport it as the mic attatched is to big for the supplied case.Thanks anyway.
