Nintendo DS games

Can anyone tell me if the Nintendo DS games are region locked like dvd. I am going to the US next week and noticed that in the USA the games are $29.99 wheras in the UK they are £29.99. With the current exchange rate thats half price give or take.

Yes they work fine, but I seem to remember something about them not being compatible with UK versions of the game if you want to connect them. This hasn't been a problem for us.
Check out the prices of the games you want before you go, as we found some games, like Sims Petz to be around the same price here. Some were the same price in $ as £, but not as many as I expected.
Walmart was one of the cheapest places for games, and you can change them in Asda if there's any problem

Thanks. Reason I asked was because I went onto the toysrus US website by mistake and the nintendogs are $29.99, wheras the UK site they are £29.99.
