Charges Without notification
Just looked at my account and Halifax have taken a £35 charge 2 days ago. I have paperfree account so there is a record of all my letters online and I have no letter notifying me of this charge, although my account states 'bank charge as notified'. Where do I/they stand over this? thanks.

Abbey waved part of the charge
Thought I'd share... I incurred £60 in charges for writing a cheque which took me overdrawn (for 2 days over xmas, urgh!). I paid it off as soon as I saw the debt, but the damage was done. If all bank charges were to be refunded tomorrow how much money are we talking about collectively? Surely that injection of funds into consumers' pockets would be be a major shot in the arm for the economy.
