Charges Without notification

Just looked at my account and Halifax have taken a £35 charge 2 days ago. I have paperfree account so there is a record of all my letters online and I have no letter notifying me of this charge, although my account states 'bank charge as notified'. Where do I/they stand over this? thanks.

are there any notices on your account with unopened documents (where your statements are)make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
no email was received, or are there any in my inbox on my bank mailbox opened or unopened.0

I would also be interested in where the op stands as this has happened to me in the past and they said they don't legally have to inform me as its in the terms and conditions but they only do it as a courtesy.0

They would probably advise on maintenance charge but if its for bounced/paid direct debit without funds and the charge is applied immediately then they have no time to notify you. Normally the fee will appear as soon as d/d is bounced.0
